Using the site

CrackedAI is free to use. Create an account, solve problems, read the explainers, talk to your friends. In exchange, don't do the obvious things: don't try to break into other people's accounts, don't scrape the catalogue wholesale, don't use the messaging to harass anyone, and don't automate submissions to game a leaderboard.

We can close an account that does those things. We would rather email you first, and usually will. To reach us about any of this, email hello@crackedaicode.com.

Your code stays yours

You own what you write. Submitting a solution gives us permission to store it, show it back to you, and use its timing in aggregate statistics such as the percentile bands and the leaderboard. That is the whole of the licence. We don't publish your code, and we don't train anything on it.

Our content is ours

The problems, test cases, reference solutions, articles and tracks are the site's. Read them, work through them, quote a line in a conversation about one. Don't republish the corpus.

The runtime

crackedai-connect runs on your machine, under your account, and executes code you wrote. That is the point of it, and it is also a thing worth understanding before you install it: any program that runs code can run bad code. Install it from PyPI, keep it current, and treat a prompt from your browser asking for local network access the way you would treat any other permission prompt.

We are not responsible for what your own code does to your own machine.

Messages

Conversations are end-to-end encrypted and we cannot read them, which means we also cannot moderate them. There are no block or report tools yet: the control you do have is the "who can message you" setting, which decides whether a stranger can open a thread with you at all, and removing someone as a friend. Choose who you talk to accordingly. If someone needs dealing with, email abuse@crackedaicode.com. We can close an account even though we cannot read what it sent.

Availability

This is a small independent project. It may be down. Features may change or be removed. Nothing here is offered with a service-level guarantee, and it is provided as-is, without warranty. Keep a copy of anything you would miss.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept it.
